Commissioned Patterned Porcelains in The Nguyễn Era Museum offers a step into the fascinating world of imperial Vietnamese porcelain. This exceptional private collection showcases the remarkable “Đồ Sứ Ký Kiểu” tradition—specially commissioned porcelain pieces that Vietnamese emperors, mandarins, and wealthy residents ordered from China between the late 17th and early 20th centuries. Housing over 200 exquisite artifacts spanning nearly two centuries of craftsmanship, this museum offers a rare glimpse into the sophisticated aesthetic sensibilities of Vietnam’s last imperial dynasty. From delicate tea sets bearing royal poetry to ceremonial vessels adorned with scenes of Hue’s historic landmarks, each piece tells a compelling story of cultural exchange, artistic achievement, and royal patronage.
